The Halton Region Master Gardeners is a member of Master Gardeners of Ontario (MGOI Inc.) a registered non-profit organization. Our volunteers are experienced gardeners who have studied horticulture extensively and regularly upgrade our skills through technical training. With this training and continuing education, Master Gardeners provide expert horticultural advice to the gardening public.
Established in 1986, the Halton Region Master Gardeners are a group of enthusiastic gardeners living in Ancaster, Burlington, Dundas, Georgetown, Hamilton, Milton and Oakville. We have diverse horticultural backgrounds and love to share our passion for gardening. In 2012, we were fortunate to be able to welcome several members of the Oakville Master Gardeners group when that group disbanded.
Our members volunteer at local garden tours, shows, special community garden projects. We provide advice clinics at the Royal Botanical Gardens during their festival season and man the hotline to answer your gardening questions. Every year we volunteer and speak at the Royal Botanical Gardens Home Show and the Canada Blooms event in Toronto. You can also find us at the farmers markets in Hamilton and Oakville.
We hold our meetings at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:15 P.M. from February to June and from September to December.
Come to one of our meetings and meet our friendly and knowledgeable members!
Next Meeting – 7:15pm Wednesday June 6th 2018.
The speaker will be Michael Albanese, Landscape drainage specialist
